About The Slate Belt Youth Soccer Association
The Slate Belt Youth Soccer Association was founded in 1992 and has been serving the Slate Belt community youth for over 30 years.
Our principle field location for intramural soccer is at the Blue Valley Farm Show Complex. This field site is centrally located just 100 yards west from the controlled intersection of route 512 and the American Bangor Road.
Slate Belt Youth Soccer Association (SBYSA) is a member of Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) . We follow EPYSA guidelines for registration and operation of SBYSA. EPYSA offers numerous national licensing courses for coaches and referees.
SBYSA is also a member of the Blue Mountain Youth Soccer League (BMYSL) in which our Recreational Travel teams participate in.
Programs
In-House
Slate Belt Soccer teams play against each other. All in-house games will be played at the Blue Valley Farm Show Complex
- The In-House program runs in the fall (late August till end of October) and is available for all children ages 4 and up.
- In-House soccer is about developing each player to learn more and participate as a functional member of the soccer team; focus is on player development for all, not just winning games.
Recreational
Slate Belt teams at the recreational level play in the Blue Mountain Youth Soccer League (BMYSL).
- This league covers age groups U9 to U17.
- Teams travel to compete with other clubs in the Lehigh Valley within a 1-hour driving distance (Click Here to See Coverage Area).
- More competitive than In-House; for players and teams to develop skills beyond the basics and strive for a winning season.
